My poor baby has had such a hard time with his tummy. I thought that it was just his constipation but last night he had actually pooped (with some help from mom and dad) and he had been fed. He had eaten at 10:00 but at 11:15 he was acting like he was starving so I fixed him a bottle just to see what he would do, I didn't expect him to drink even half of it, well he drank all of it! So I at first thought that he was just more hungry because he had pooped so much! Well he still wasn't happy. We got up and went into the living room about 11:40 and he screamed and cried until about 2:00! I was trying everything to calm him down. I was also googling colic at the same time! He had all the symptoms that I was reading online. So now I think he has stomach issues and colic! Im trying to be strong about it. When I was a nanny in Tuscaloosa the little girl that I kept had colic so I've kind of already dealt with it. All I did was hold her and rock so I guess I will just have to do the same with him.
This morning was a little better. Once he went back to sleep at 2:00, we slept until 5:30 (I was holding him in our bed of course!) After he ate at 5:30 we went back to sleep until almost 9:00 so we actually got some rest. Once we got up at 9:00 I gave him his bath, baths relax him even more, and he was happy after it long enough for me to shower. After we both got cleaned up he started crying again! I've been holding pretty much the whole time since then. I have finally got him to lay down on his spot on the couch but who knows how long that will last.
We have swapped him to Similac Sensitive and I have been putting mylicon drops in every bottle. We are still giving him the Lactoluse and I ordered a heat wrap for his tummy. We are gonna do what ever it takes to make this sweet baby happy! If any of you reading this have any suggestions please let me know.

| Mack and Baby Jag |
Our friends Decota and Ashley Eads had their baby the day before Mack's one month birthday! They were almost one month apart exactly. Decota and Ashley have become some of our good friends over the past year. Decota's parents live next door and we love them all so much. We have gotten really close. We went to see Corbyn on Mack's one month birthday!
I am constantly taking pictures of him! He always has his hands up by his face and has pretty much since we started seeing him, even in the sonogram pictures! He is still sleeping in his frog seat and he wakes up about every 2 1/2 to 3 hours to eat day and night. He is still eating 3 ounces at a time, I have tried to get him to eat more with no luck. He is finally starting to wear 0-3 month sized clothes! I had to clean out all the newborn sizes! So Sad! He is still having constipation problems. We didn't have to go back to the doctor at one month but I made an appointment anyway. We saw Dr. Chupp and he said that Mack should not be that constipated. He gave Mack a prescription for Lactolase, he said it was pretty much strong Karo Syrup. It has worked a little but we just have to give it time. He weighed 10 pounds and 4 ounces!!! I think that he has gotten much longer too! We had lunch with Rachel Reese this week too. We are still waiting on their sweet baby girl to get here! Erah Kate should be here on soon! We had so many friends that were pregnant at the same time we were. Mack is going to have a lot of friends. We went to visit Baby Jag this week too! He is one week old. Mack still looks so big compared to him! Besides the constipation everything is going wonderful! We are so blessed to have such a sweet baby!

He is still constipated and we are still trying Karo Syrup in every bottle. We have given him some suppositories but I just hate to give them to him all the time.
Our friends Eddie and Crystal Cox had their baby this week and we went to visit him in the hospital. Mack looked so big compared to Baby Jag! Hopefully they will grow up to be good friends just like their parents!
He is sleeping in his frog seat (bouncy seat) because I think he sleeps better sitting up a little. I have ordered a nap nanny, hopefully it will be in soon so he can go back to his pack and play. He had his first little bit on his tummy time mat but on his back. I was so excited because his eyes were open and he looked like he was looking at the toys hanging up but I know he probably wasn't. He is eating 3 ounces every 2 hours and he is still wearing mostly newborn size clothes! We can tell that he is getting longer though!
His cord finally came off after hanging on by a string for the last week! He had his last sponge bath and his first real bath. He hated the bath! He screamed the whole time! He had his first St. Patrick's Day this week also! We went out to eat at Jefferson's with Granna and Pop and Kenzie and Thad.
Shon and I went out for the first time without him. We went to the ducks unlimited banquet on March 18th here in Guntersville. My whole family came over to babysit! It took my mom, dad, sister, sister's boyfriend Thad, and my little brother! I was miserable the whole time we were gone even though we were 10 minutes away. After 2 hours of being at the banquet I left Shon there and came home! I couldn't stand it anymore. Our friends Cody and Codie brought Shon home after the banquet!
We laid him on his stomach on his spot this week for just a little bit and he actually liked it! We also went to church for the first time! This was a very eventful week! He is still growing so fast!!! I wish I could slow things down a little bit!
Week Number 2!

| Beautiful! |
I was still nursing but we were having a really hard time. Mack didn't want to latch on and I wasn't making enough milk. After 10 days of strictly breast milk I started supplementing formula and pumping. He did fine with the formula but the pumping was not working out the way I wanted it to. I was getting about 3 ounces after pumping for 30-45 minutes. When we went to our 2 week appointment Dr. Packard told me to keep trying to breast feed him and not to give him anymore formula! So I was determined, I went home and he nursed from 12:30 to 5:00! I knew that something was not right! When Shon got home I was exhausted! He said just give him the formula so I did and that was the end of our nursing days! While we were at the doctor for his appointment everything else looked good. He weighed 8 pounds and 10 ounces. He was a growing boy!
Once we started giving him just formula he became very constipated! We called the doctor and they said the try giving him Karo Syrup in his bottles so we tried that, it worked a little but still not enough. Poor baby was breaking my heart watching him try to go so hard! For now we are still trying Karo Syrup hopefully it will get better.

The first week!
We were so glad to be home! We had tons of visitors wanting to see Mack. The first night was rough! We had company until late but we sent everyone away thinking that we would be fine for the night. We ended up ok but it was very difficult for mommy! I was nursing and we was not wanting to eat. I cried almost all night but it did get better. The next night my mom, Mack's Granna, spent the night with us. Even though she spent the night I couldn't stand the thought of him being away from me all night so I let her take him upstairs about 4:00 that morning so we could get some sleep.
The first week we just watched him sleep. He still had not opened his eyes at all. We had a pack and play in our bedroom that had the newborn sleeper on it. He hated the newborn sleeper because it made him ball up. We also tried to swaddle him while he slept, and that didn't work either. When we wrapped him up he cried and cried. When I finally unwrapped him he burped and he was so relieved! This baby liked to stretch out!! He had a favorite spot on the couch that he loved to sleep in because he could be the center of attention while stretching out and getting comfortable! He is wearing size 1 diapers already. The nurses in the hospital put him in size 1 so thats what we stuck with. None of the 0-3 month clothes fit! Everybody said, "he is going to be a big baby!" So I never thought that he would be able to wear the few newborn sized outfits that we had but we actually had to go out and buy more newborn outfits! We left the house for the first time to go to his 1 week appointment. We saw Dr. Chupp and he said that Mack was perfect! Mack weighed 7 pounds and 13 ounces, which meant that he hadnt gained or lost any weight since we left the hospital! yay mommy! After the doctor we went to see Pop at Bonds Appliance and we went to eat at Outlaw Steak House. His first trip out of the house went great but we were ready to be home that afternoon!

Coming Home
We finally got to come home on Sunday February 27th, Mack weighed 7 pounds and 13 ounces when we left the hospital. We were so ready! Mommy and Daddy were exhausted! When we came home we came with an entourage of people. We were so lucky to have all of our families helping with our sweet baby Mack!
