Beautiful!
I cant believe my sweet baby is 2 weeks old already! This week has been pretty much the same as the first week. He is still sleeping all the time and he doesn't open his eyes very much. We get a glimpse of them when I burp him sometimes. He has still had some visitors but that has slacked off some. The biggest thing that has happened this week is that Shon had to go back to work! I was sad but we made it okay without him. We went to get his newborn pictures made with Amber Stricklin. She is expensive but well worth it. I have put up 3 of the pictures that were taken. We ordered some from Amber, but we would rather have ordered them all! When we got the picture of Shon holding him he peed and pooped on Shon! Daddy did really good though, he didn't even move! Amber was still taking pictures the whole time, she kept saying be still be still. If you look close you can see a wet spot on Shon's jeans right under Mack's foot.  haha  He is still wearing newborn size clothes, even though I thought he would never be able to.
I was still nursing but we were having a really hard time. Mack didn't want to latch on and I wasn't making enough milk. After 10 days of strictly breast milk I started supplementing formula and pumping. He did fine with the formula but the pumping was not working out the way I wanted it to. I was getting about 3 ounces after pumping for 30-45 minutes. When we went to our 2 week appointment Dr. Packard told me to keep trying to breast feed him and not to give him anymore formula! So I was determined, I went home and he nursed from 12:30 to 5:00! I knew that something was not right! When Shon got home I was exhausted! He said just give him the formula so I did and that was the end of our nursing days! While we were at the doctor for his appointment everything else looked good. He weighed 8 pounds and 10 ounces. He was a growing boy!
Once we started giving him just formula he became very constipated! We called the doctor and they said the try giving him Karo Syrup in his bottles so we tried that, it worked a little but still not enough. Poor baby was breaking my heart watching him try to go so hard! For now we are still trying Karo Syrup hopefully it will get better.
