Summer time is finally here and Mack is 16 weeks old! He is not officially 4 months because February is a short month but he is close. He has started eating 5 ounces most feedings now and he is actually drinking his juice instead of just playing with the bottle. He likes white grape juice the most! We tried to give him cereal for the first time and it was so funny. He did not like it at all. He spit pretty much all of it out. I guess he is not quite ready for cereal. He did get to try a few real things, all of which when Mommy wasn’t around! He tried chocolate milk shake and Pops store with Bet Bet and Diane, and he tried cheese sauce from mac-n-cheese and mashed potatoes with Nana. I don’t really care that much, just a little taste won’t hurt him. All of those women have raised their kids and they know what they are doing! Kim, Nana, said that Shon was eating mashed potatoes when he was Mack’s age and he turned out just fine. I won’t be giving him real food all the time yet but just trying stuff will be ok. His Nana said that he really liked the cheese and mashed potatoes and that he wanted more!
He is so animated now. He recognizes the people he knows and almost always greets them with a smile. Sometimes he even smiles at people he doesn’t know! He is really a happy baby. I am still so thankful for his chiropractor, Dr. John Alan Smith, he really did make Mack much happier. The only times he cries now is if he is hungry or sleepy, like a normal baby should! No more endless hours of crying! He has started paying more attention to the TV and he loves the show Yo Gabba Gabba! I think it is terrible and crazy but he actually grins at the TV when he watches it! He will watch it for about 15 or 20 minutes and then he is ready for more play time.

He wants to sit up or stand up all the time, and he does both really well with some help of course. He is very independent and curious about what is going on around him. He gets in these moods sometimes where he looks like he is “high” but we have decided that he is just a deep thinker. He will just look around with no expression and check things out. It really is funny to watch him take everything in around him. No matter what we do in front of him he is just calm and relaxed when he is in one of those moods. He makes noises all the time, he ooos and ahhhs and grunts and screams, it is so precious! I think if he could he would be walking around and talking right now.
We took him to see Rodney and Denise Willoughby at the campground and he got to play with their grandson, Weston Sipe. Weston is Uncle Gabe’s nephew. He sat in the pool with Weston while Weston splashed around and crawled everywhere and he loved it. He just looked around and watched; even when he got slashed with water it didn’t bother him.
We also went to Amy and Denny Lulfs house to cook out one night too. We watched the big boys play baseball in the back yard and he sat with Ms. Susan and Ms. Amy until he got sleepy and was ready to go home.
Shon and I are so blessed to have such a wonderful baby boy! He is growing way too fast but we are enjoying every minute of it.
Mack is getting so big and he is so handsome!! I love all his pictures! He looks so laid back and calm. Yo Gabba Gabba was Abram's favorite when he was little! It kept him entertained longer than most shows! Neither of the kids were crazy about cereal. Once they started eating baby food, I would mix the cereal with that and they liked it!! Cereal made Harlee's belly hurt, so she never ate it much at all! The age Mack is at now is one of the most fun times to me! From 5 months to 12months, they learn and change so much!! Love Y'all!!
