Mack Christopher Howard: 11 Weeks

We are finally back at home so I actually remembered to take his picture at 11 weeks! He is still just as sweet as he can be! He is still smiling and happy and making noises all the time. He is sleeping well in his frog seat inside his pack-n-play. He would much rather sleep on his stomach but I know that is not safe. He won’t sleep on his back or side in his bed. He wakes himself up with his arms; because he is so wild and moving all the time. His frog seat is the only way we can get him to sleep when he is not on his stomach. He likes his frog seat though, it goes everywhere, and we even take it outside! He has just started chewing/licking his hand. He loves it! He is drooling all the time now too. I think he is about to get a tooth. I know that he is only 11 weeks old but Kenzie got a tooth at 3 months so it is possible. He is not on much of a schedule; it has been kind of difficult to follow anything since we were away from home for 11 days!

Our semi-schedule as of now is bath time around 7 or 7:30 and then a bottle about 8. He then wants to play and stay up until around 10:00 or 10:15. Once he goes to sleep he will sleep until 2 or 3 in the morning. We get up and have a bottle and then he sleeps until 6:30. At 6:30 he gets into our bed for about 30 minutes for some snuggle time with mommy then he is ready to eat again. After he eats we play and he will usually go back to sleep for at least an hour if we don’t have anywhere to go. After he wakes up he is very playful and happy. Most of the time he will take one more long nap during the day and he is up pretty much the rest of the time until time for bed again! He is very vocal about what he wants! You can tell when he is ready for his bath or if he wants some attention! He has a very loud cry and he knows how to get what he wants when he uses it! I just recently tried to give him a “night time” bottle at his 8:00 feeding to see if he would sleep longer. Well that was a disaster! I don’t think his little belly can hold more than 4 ounces! He drank 5 ounces with extra cereal in it and he was so fussy! He has really bad gas and cried for about an hour! I don’t think that I will try that again! For now we will just stick to 4 ounces! He likes to eat on his boppy now. He is trying to be way to independent! It actually makes him finish all his bottle instead of falling asleep! We went on our first "date" with Chris, Rachel, and Erah Kate Reese. We went to Red Lobster in Gadsden and it was definitely an adventure! We were only at the table all together for about 10 minutes. Mack was actually pretty good, much better than expected. He spent the night with Granna and Pop again. I think that he was much better for them this time.
