There is not too much to say about our chiropractor experience except for the fact that is has made a huge difference in my sweet baby! We were at the breaking point of trying to deal with his crying and fussiness. I felt like I had tried just about everything to soothe him and calm him down. I was getting ready to accept that I just had a fussy baby! One of Kim’s clients from the beauty shop suggested that we take him to the chiropractor! I wasn’t sure about it at first but we finally made him an appointment with Dr. John Alan Smith in Albertville. That was probably the best decision we could have made! We went 2 times before the storm hit and everybody lost power and then once after and Mack has been truly like a different baby! I am so thankful for Dr. Smith and his work! I don’t know what exactly an adjustment does to help a colicky baby but whatever it is worked! Dr. Smith said that when babies are born they are jerked and pulled to be delivered and that can make then become out of line from the beginning. He did a thermal scan of Mack’s spine and saw several places that were causes for concern. He said that since Mack was born so fast that his could be even worse than others. He adjusted him the first day and on the second day Mack's back popped! I heard it when Dr. Smith pushed on his back! I really think that is what made the biggest change! I would suggest a chiropractor to anyone who has a fussy baby! Yes, some of them can be a little extreme. Most of them don’t believe in vaccinations and they don’t like to use medicine but I think if, as a parent, you find a happy medium between using medical doctors and a chiropractor it is wonderful and very beneficial. Dr. Smith suggested giving Mack goat’s milk! I actually thought about it because I was so frustrated but decided I better not. I think that is too extreme, and our normal doctor said that was a big no no! He said that it could cause liver failure in babies! So as long as you know what the limitations are then it is great!
