2 Month Check-Up

We went to our 2-month doctors visit with Dr. Chupp on Wednesday May 4th. Mack was actually a little over 2 months when we went because our original appointment was the day of the tornados! My sweet baby had to get shots at this appointment! It was so sad, he cried of course but I cried too! I hated to see him hurting like that. I knew that he would be fine and he wouldn’t remember it but it still broke my heart! He weighed 13 pounds and 13 ounces, almost 14 pounds! And he had grown 5 inches since he was born he was 24 inches long! Dr. Chupp said that everything looked good and he was growing great! He said that our sweet baby was just perfect! Once again we are so blessed!
Mack has truly been like a different baby since the chiropractor! He now only cries when he is hungry or sleepy, like he is supposed to! He doesn’t just cry for no reason! He is smiling all the time and he even laughed at Shon just a little bit, but only one time. We haven’t been able to get him to laugh since then. He is making all kinds of noises and he loves to hear us make noises too! He is so spoiled! He has to have someone talking to him all the time! I guess that is my fault, since I am home with him everyday I talk to him constantly! He loves to be outside but he has just started hating to ride in the car!!! He screams the entire time we are in the car. If someone is back there with him it is not as bad but if it is just me and him in the car it is terrible. So far everyone that I have talked to said that their kids did it too and it doesn’t get any better! I’ll be glad we he will watch the DVD player! He is still drinking 4 ounces every 3 ½ to 4 hours. I have started giving him a little juice during the day. He didn’t like it at first but now he really does. It is helping him to use the bathroom as well. I am trying to wean him off the Lactulose and get him to just juice but I know I need to do it slowly so we don’t run into the constipation problems again. I would much rather him be on juice than a prescription though! I know that we have had problems in the beginning and he has been fussy but things are getting better by the day! Overall, at this point we have a very happy and healthy 2 month old!
